HTCC had a great day today at the SRAA Scholastic National Championship, as four of five crews advanced to day 2 of racing!
Alex Tingley started the day off for the Hawks by finishing in fourth place overall in her heat in the girls varsity single event! She will race in the semi-finals at 8:35 on Saturday morning! Fiona Steele, Maya Jacobsen, Olivia Hollingsworth, and Sara Ladik finished in second place overall in the heats of the girls freshman quad! They will race in the finals at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon! Emily Donohue and Morgan Van Dexter finished in second place in their heat in the girls varsity double! They will race in the semi-finals at 8:50 on Saturday morning! Anthony Johnson, Tristan Burnham, Nolan McHugh, and Jay Reinert raced hard the the extremely fast boys JV quad event. They finished in fourth place in their heat. Aidan Cronin, Vince Fitzpatrick, Jack Haigh, and Jack Savell finished with the fourth place overall time in the boys varsity quad event during today's heats. They will race in the finals on Saturday afternoon at 3:15! I admit that I am the type of person who is not into sports that much, but I got interested to see the result of SRAA Scholastic National Championship. Congratulations to all winners of this year, you guys did amazing! For those who failed, there's still next time where you can express yourself freely. This is not yet the end of everything.
