2022 Spring Registration 

HTR's Spring competitive season begins with winter conditioning in order to prepare rowers for 3 months of competitive racing. Winter conditioning builds strength and stamina and is considered an integral part of the Spring season and is required to compete in the spring racing unless the head coach has approved a rower's participation in an approved HTHS winter sport. 

SCHEDULE
Winter Conditioning   Jan 5th - mid March (actual date depends upon when County re-opens Cooper River)
Mon-Fri:  3:30pm - 5:30pm; Sat. 6am -8am
Erg Room, Haddon Township High School

Water Training
Mon-Fri: 5am - 7am; Sat 6am-8am | Camden County Boathouse | 7050 N. Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ

FEE:  
$975   
Fee covers 5 months of coaching, equipment use and participation fees for 10+ regattas as well as a team t-shirt. Additional charges include team uniform, Haddon Hammer registration fee.  
Fee Assistance:  HT Rowing offers payment plan, 10% sibling discount and scholarships  (to discuss, please contact HT Rowing President Beth Wilkinson at 609-315-1187 or email her at htcrewclub@gmail.com. 
Payment:  Invoices are issued once registration form is received. A $75 non refundable deposit is due at time of registration, with balance due by April 1st. Team accepts cash, check and credit card (via paypal -processing fees are added). 

SWIM TEST

While prior rowing / athletic experience is NOT required to join the team, rowers must be able to stay afloat.  All HTR rowers take a one-time-only swim test administered by the Club prior to the start of on-water practices. Swim test consists of treading water for 5 minutes and swimming 25 yards - by any stroke. 

REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration involves requirements set by HT Rowing Club as well as the Haddon Township School District for student athletes.  New rowers will have additional 'one-time-requirements' that returning rowers have already satisfied. 

RETURNING ROWERS (those who rowed in Fall 2021)
1. Complete and submit the 2022 Spring Season Registration form below. 
2. Ensure HTHS school nurse (kmccutcheon@htsd.us) has current:
  • HTHS Pre-participation Physical Evaluation (or re-certification) and
  • NJ Dept of Education Health History Update Questionnaire
  • Pre-concussion Assessment Results (these are good for 2 academic years)

​NEW ROWERS 
1. Complete and submit the 2022 Spring Season Registration form below. 
2. Read the HTR Code of Conduct and return a signed Code of Conduct signature form. 
3. Read and return a signed copy of the HTR Waiver.
4. Ensure the HTHS school nurse (kmccutcheon@htsd.us) has:
  • HTHS Pre-participation Physical Evaluation (or re-certification) and
  •  NJ Dept of Education Health History Update Questionnaire
5. If needed, take the Pre-concussion assessment/Impact Testing.  NOTE: Results are good for 2 academic years.
