Hi Everyone,
First of all...Congratulations to all rowers on completing a fantastic fall season! Each person on the team performed extremely well on the water as well as on the ergs and we are looking forward to continued success this spring!! I have a few announcements: Tomorrow night (Thursday 11/29) we will be having a fundraiser at the High School. Mr. Kendall is having a premier for his new movie in the Media Center with all proceeds going to the Crew Club. Athletes are expected to attend and help out. We will be having a meeting in the erg room after school on Monday for all current and new rowers. We will discuss goals for the winter and spring and I will provide you all with a suggested workout plan for winter break. Lastly...Please get your cornerless coin toss bottles in!!! We have only received 7...Not cool. We are not able to do a coin toss on the street anymore so please get your bottles in!! For those of you who have, thank you! We have an exciting last weekend of racing coming up in a few days! Saturday we will be participating in the Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta. Please don't be confused by the name...the race is actually held on COOPER RIVER. After racing Saturday, we will derig and load up the trailer to travel to the Philadelphia Turn & Burn Regatta on Sunday. This is on the SCHUYLKILL RIVER. This is actually a 2-part race. Each crew will race once, turn around, and head back up for a second race 15 minutes later. It is a bit of a different format, but a fun way to end the season! Once we finish racing, we will load up the trailer and head back home. Plan to unload the trailer on Sunday, but we may not be able to until Monday. I will let you know as we get closer.
