1st Flick Recap

HTCC started off the season strong with some solid performances at this year's first Manny Flick Regatta!  Racing on some of the calmest water they have seen so far this year, the club came away with three 1st place finishes!

Quinn, Maya, Kerry, and Fiona started the morning off by crushing the field in the women's freshman quad, winning by 13 seconds over second place!  

Owen, John B, Adam, and Jon W, came next for the hawks in the men's freshman quad.  They rowed strong and had one of their best pieces yet!  We look forward to seeing what they are able to do next week!

Nick went next in the men's JV single.  After only two practices in the single, he put together a very strong piece and made some great technical improvements from earlier in the week!  Great job Nick!

Davey and Jay followed Nick with a victory in the men's JV double!  The boys rowed extremely well together and showed what they were made of by walking through another crew to earn the victory!

The third victory for the Hawks came in the men's JV quad as Mason, Tristan, Jack H, and Jack S powered the Aggression down the course for a 16 second victory over second place!!

Morgan, Emily, Olivia, and Sara had a tough race in the women's varsity quad, facing some of the fastest crews they will see all year.  With three novices and two freshman in the quad they raced extremely well!  We are excited to see what these girls can do as the year goes forward!

In the last race of the day for the Hawks, Vince, Aidan, Anthony, and Nolan fought hard down the course putting down a solid time to finish in the pack.  Great job boys!

HTCC will return to the Schuylkill on Sunday (3/25) for the second Flick.
