The Hawks had a fantastic weekend on Cooper River, coming away with five medals, two State Championship Titles, and a Cooper Cup Championship!
The highlight of the weekend, however, came on Sunday when we had the opportunity to name our new varsity boys quad after our long-time board President, Beth Wilkinson! Beth has been the driving force behind the programs success, spending countless hours making sure our athletes and coaches have the resources and opportunities to succeed. She has dedicated her time and energy to growing our program and creating the family that we are all so proud to be a part of. We cannot thank Beth enough for what she does for each of us and we can't wait to see her name cross the finish line in first place each weekend! Weekend Results: Gavin Dunn, Michael Gasiorowski, Cahill Crawford, and Connor McGovern started the weekend off with a SILVER MEDAL at Garden States in the mens freshman quad! The were followed by Maddie Baranes, Caroline Hollingsworth, Payton Cronin, and Jacqui Weber, who earned another SILVER MEDAL for the Hawks in the women's JV quad! The day was highlighted by both varsity quads earning GOLD MEDALS and STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES!! Luke Gerber, Joe Savell, Henry Fowler, and Brendan Savell won gold for the Hawks in the mens varsity quad, while Brooke Bazulis, Maggie Dunn, Athena Constantakos, and Sarah Lex earned gold in the women's varsity quad! Both crews also earned entries into the Scholastic National Championship in Oak Ridge, Tennessee over Memorial Day Weekend! Luke, Joe, Henry, and Brendan continued the weekend's success on Sunday, as they rowed the newly named "Beth Wilkinson" quad to the clubs first ever victory in the u19/Varsity Quad at the Cooper Cup! The Hawks will head to the Schuylkill this weekend for the Philadelphia City Championships!
