Tops in Scholastic Rowing

At today's Scholastic Rowing Association of America's National Championships, HTR's Freshman Boys Quad of Hans Geist, Brendan Savell, Julian Craft and Ryan Henry won Silver, ending the season ranked as the second fastest scholastic freshman quad in the country. The HTR Boys Varsity Quad of Joey Savell, Tommy Smith, Mark Kocher and Luke Gerber finished today's final just out of medal contention, but still ended the season ranked the nation's 4th fastest high school varsity quad. The Girls Varsity Double of Gina Gerber and Athena Constantakos advanced to the semi-finals and closed their season with a top 12 finish overall. The 4th HTR boat that qualified to compete at SRAA's National Championships was the Girls Varsity Quad with Brooke Bazulis, Maggie Dunn, Sarah Lex, and Mary Theresa Fitzpatrick.  While the boat  just missed out on advancing to finals, they had one of their best races of the season. The team did exceptionally well at what is one of the most competitive scholastic regattas in the nation.
