In an effort to emulate and be the best, we are going to start posting videos every so often to give you a better idea of what you should look like on the water, and different techniques to get you there. Some videos will be coaches teaching technique, others will simply be of crews rowing well. For the athletes, watch these videos, look for things that are different from what you are doing, and try to make those changes on the water. For the parents, hopefully this can help you understand a little more about the anatomy of a stroke and what goes into making a boat fast.
The first post is a video of coach John Driessen (Australian National Team) teaching relaxation, balance, recovery, catch preparation, and front end load. Click HERE to watch the video. After the first video, take a look at some of the things he talks about in action with different examples of good blade work. Click HERE to watch the video. GO HAWKS!!!
